🐝 Thirty Day Countdown
Restaurant Updates, Drink Wine Day, & More

Your guide to staying connected in Franklin, TN
Good Morning Franklin.
Happy National “Drink Wine Day”. Not to be confused with “National Wine Day”, which falls on May 25th. In doing some quick research, there are 17 national wine days throughout the year. People really love their wine, don’t they?
If “Drink Wine Day” doesn’t have people drinking wine this evening, this weather might. Another polar vortex is back and weather forecasts predict 2 - 4 inches of snow starting around 2am tomorrow morning.
The good news is that we are officially 30 days away from spring (March 20th) and we’re only 19 days away from clocks springing forward (March 9th). Later sunsets are good for the soul.

In-N-Out Burger Updates
In-N-Out Burger announced last week that they plan to shut down their current headquarters in Irvine, California as they work on the new corporate office in Franklin. The fast food giant chain will operate two national hubs: a western hub, headquartered in Baldwin Park and an eastern hub, headquartered in Franklin.
In-N-Out broke ground last fall in Franklin on its $125M Eastern Headquarters. The 100,000-square-foot office building will be located near Berry Farms off I-65. This marks the company’s first expansion east of Texas. The new office is expected to generate almost 300 jobs and will be completed in 2026. In-N-Out has said they will open 35 locations in Tennessee with their first restaurant opening later this year. So far, restaurants are confirmed in Franklin, Lebanon, Mt. Juliet, Madison, and Antioch.
Owner and President of In-N-Out, Lynsi Snyder shared at the February 4th Nashville Business Breakfast that she “fell in love” with Tennessee. “My husband just started talking about Tennessee, and then God started working on my heart. I started bringing it to the office, ‘I think we’re supposed to go to Tennessee,’” Snyder said during the event. “It was really just a God thing. And then of course the more I’ve come here, I’ve fallen in love with really the whole state, but there’s something very quaint about especially the Franklin area.”
Franklin is Buzzin
The City of Franklin is now a Bee City affiliate. This doesn’t mean we are bee keeping, but installing and promoting installations of pollinator gardens to increase local pollinators like bees and butterflies. The city is currently working on garden projects all throughout town.
The Bee City USA Program recognizes and encourages pollinator conservation efforts in cities, counties, and campuses. There are over 200 total Bee City USA affiliates including five other communities in Tennessee. The primary benefit of this initiative is to increase the abundance of native plants and pollinator habitat, which will not only support our local pollinators, but it will also improve community character by creating more visually interesting landscapes. Bee City USA provides a framework to increase the abundance of native plants while reducing the use of pesticides. Check out www.franklintn.gov/beecity for more info.
