Happy Monday Franklin. Time to get your fall clothes out as we are less than one week away from the official start of fall (Sunday, September 22nd).
Also, Happy National Guacamole Day.
Guacamole has been linked to improving heart, skin, and hair health, as well as contributing to weight loss, cancer prevention, and a stronger immune and digestive system. The history of “guac” dates back to the Aztec Empire in Central America during the 1500s.

In-N-Out Burger Breaks Ground
The West Coast burger chain broke ground last week in Franklin on its $125M Eastern Headquarters. The 100,000-square-foot office building will be located near Berry Farms off I-65.
“This is a historic day for In-N-Out Burger. Breaking ground on this beautiful property is the first step in putting down roots in the state of Tennessee. We were drawn to The Volunteer State because of its commitment to quality, service and family, and cannot wait to begin serving Customers and communities by 2026,” stated Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson, In-N-Out Burger Owner and President, in a release.
Ms. Snyder-Ellingson stated at the private event last week, “I’m so excited and just feel God’s hand on this… this is going to be huge for In-N-Out.”
This marks the company’s first expansion east of Texas. The new office is expected to generate almost 300 jobs and will be completed in 2026. In-N-Out has said they will open locations throughout Nashville by 2026.
Sam Fox opening 12 South Restaurant
Sam Fox, owner of Phoenix-based Fox Restaurant Concepts, is opening the doors to The Henry in the 12 South neighborhood. The highly anticipated restaurant and bar is set to open on September 25th. "Nashville has been going through amazing growth, and because of the response from our guests at The Twelve Thirty Club, Blanco, Doughbird, and Pushing Daisies, we are looking forward to bringing The Henry to the city," said Sam Fox. "The Henry is a go-to restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; we hope our guests love it as much as we do."
Fox Restaurant Concepts was founded by Fox in 1998 and now has over 60 locations and almost 5,000 employees. Fox’s Nashville portfolio includes Pushing Daisies, Doughbird Pizza & Chicken, Blanco + Cantina, and The Twelve Thirty Club. There are five existing locations of The Henry, across Arizona, California, Florida and Texas. Seeing how successful The Henry has been in other markets, I’d expect it to quickly become one of the more popular restaurants in Nashville.
Water Shortage
Due to drought conditions in the region, the Mayor declared an Emergency Status 1 Water Shortage earlier this month for the City of Franklin Water Utility District. The city serves approximately 18,500 customers in the Franklin area. Many residents use other utilities for their water service.
During this water shortage emergency, the following uses are hereby declared to be nonessential uses as defined in Franklin Municipal Code Section 18-130(4)(a) and prohibited unless reclaimed water is used:
Washing sidewalks, driveways, parking areas, tennis courts, patios, or other exterior paved areas, except by the City of Franklin for the public safety.
Filling or refilling swimming pool.
Non-commercial washing of privately owned motor vehicles trailers and boats.
Any use of water from a fire hydrant except for fighting fires or use by the City of Franklin.
Watering of lawns, landscaped areas, or ball fields, except that gardens, trees, shrubs or other plants may be watered to sustain the life of the plant material from 8pm to 6am., using only handheld mechanisms, buckets, or other similar devices.
Water any portion of a golf course.
Use of water for dust control or compaction during construction.
These restrictions will be in effect and enforced until further notice. Emergency Status 1 was declared by Mayor Ken Moore based on trigger points established through the municipal code and the City of Franklin Drought Management Plan.
