Happy Friday Franklin. I hope everyone is ready for a weekend of beautiful weather.
We are officially one month away from fall (September 22nd) but that didnât stop Starbucks from dropping itâs fall menu yesterday â including the Pumpkin Spice Latte âPSLâ. The pumpkin spice frenzy started 21 years ago in 2003.
In other news, we are one day away from the first game of college football (although most games donât start until next weekend). The long winter is almost over.

BUZZWORTHY NEWS
Havana Nights
Tonight is the 24th Annual Main Event for A Vintage Affair. This yearâs theme will be Havana Nights, which will be held at Liberty Hall at The Factory at Franklin. Guests will be asked to grab their fedora, sip a Mojito, and get ready to dance the night away. This lively, Cuban-inspired, tropical party theme promises an escape from the ordinary. Festivities begin with a VIP pre-party at 5:30pm, where sponsors and guests are invited to enjoy champagne, signature cocktails, wine from our featured vintner, delicious hors dâoeuvres, fine Cuban cigars, live music, and a preview of auction items. Doors will open at 7pm for General Admission, where all guests will experience fabulous food from amazing local restaurants, select wines, whiskey, bourbon, and rum tastings, a silent auction, a wine auction, and a live auction, live music, dancing, and much more.
For confirmation, there are two different tickets to attending our Havana Nights Event. One is to purchase a VIP Pre Party ticket for $150 which includes entrance to VIP and The Main Event. Or purchase a General Admission Ticket only for $125 for the Main Event only. General Admission price does not include admission into the VIP Preparty. Go here to purchase tickets.
The Shed at Patina Meadow Now Open
The Shed, Brooke and Steve Giannettiâs visionary community gathering space, created in collaboration with their daughter Leila Giannetti, is now open at Patina Meadow, their farm near Leiperâs Fork. The grand opening event took place on August 8 and featured a dynamic program with Chelsea J. OâLeary of Wiley Canning Company, Steven Abernathy & Claire Papavies of Greenwood Honey Company, and an array of Patina Meadowâs organically grown produce.
The Shed, custom-designed by Brooke and Steve, fulfills a significant part of the Giannettisâ dream of cultivating a community in their new home in Tennessee. The modern, elevated barn-like structure includes a spacious meeting area, a sleek, modern kitchen, intimate guest quarters, and The Potterieâa fully equipped pottery studio with seven pottery wheels and a firing kiln, where Leila will begin teaching classes this winter.
âOur plan for this space is to be an educational hub for our community to learn more about nature and the abundance it provides,â Steve said. âThis is a place where our reverence for connection, nature, and education meet. We will create programming and host events and classes that highlight those tenets.â More information here.
