BUZZWORTHY NEWS

After twenty years, Dairy Queen is making a comeback in Franklin. Fourteen Foods, the largest Dairy Queen franchisee, is opening a new restaurant on June 4th at 1108 Hillsboro Road. Fourteen Foods, which recently relocated its headquarters to Franklin, is investing $9 million and adding 55 new jobs. The new Dairy Queen Grill & Chill will feature classic menu items and create more than 50 full and part-time positions. This will be the 11th Dairy Queen in Middle Tennessee for Fourteen Foods, which operates over 245 locations across 13 states. With temperatures warming up, itโ€™s about to be Blizzard weather.

Nashville Keeps Growing: In 2023, Nashville welcomed a record-breaking 16.8 million visitors, a 4% increase from 2022, with visitor spending reaching an all-time high of $10.56 billion. Despite economic challenges, tourism in Nashville is expected to grow, with predictions of 17.1 million visitors in 2024 and 17.5 million in 2025. By 2026, visitor numbers are projected to reach 17.8 million, and the city is preparing with 2,000 new hotel rooms under construction and plans for 13,000 more. Visitor spending is also anticipated to rise, reaching $12.07 billion by 2027.

Cicadas: Hello and Goodbye. It feels like Brood XIX just arrived but experts believe that these red-eyed creatures should be dead and gone by the end of June. They waited 13 years for this moment and will no longer exist in a few weeks. Itโ€™s a good lesson on patience and making the most of every day.
