Happy Thursday Franklin.

Iā€™m excited to bring you the third edition of The Franklin Buzz. Welcome to the 700 people who have joined since last week.

As a reminder, the mission here is simple: to keep you connected to what matters in Franklin.

Today is March 14th, or 3.14, which means itā€™s Pi Day. You remember pi (Ļ€) ā€”the infinite number and mathematical constant that expresses the ratio of a circleā€™s circumference to its diameter.

Math nerds around the world are celebrating, as are ā€œpieā€ eaters looking for any excuse to chow down on another pie. Today is a good excuse.

Pi Day has been around since 1988, so happy 36th birthday Pi Day. Youā€™ve aged well.

HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW FRANKLIN?

Every city named Franklin in the U.S.

Did you know that Franklin is the most common city name in the United States?

Yes, according to the US Postal Service website ā€” where I spend most of my free time ā€” Franklin is the most popular city name in the country with 28 cities bearing the name. Clinton, Madison, and Washington were tied for second with 27.

Of all the cities named Franklin, do you know which one has the largest population? You guessed it: Franklin, Tennessee.

Does that mean that weā€™re the best Franklin? I think we all know the answer to that.
