Happy Monday Franklin. Today is International Dog Day.

My dog Finn asked me if I’d include his photo in today’s newsletter as today is a pretty big day for him. I didn’t have the heart to tell him no.

He’s a great dog.

This edition of the Buzz has events and live music through the weekend so there will not be a Friday newsletter sent out.

BUZZWORTHY NEWS

Nashville flights to Cabo, Punta Cana, Indianapolis
Nashville International Airport announced that Southwest Airlines is expanding its air service with three new nonstop routes beginning March of 2025: Indianapolis, Cabo San Lucas, and Punta Cana, as BNA continues to connect Nashville to more destinations. This exciting expansion marks another step forward in BNA’s commitment to offering travelers more international and nonstop options.

“Adding three new nonstop routes to BNA is a significant achievement for us, as we remain dedicated to bringing additional destinations to BNA for the ease of our travelers,” said Doug Kreulen, president and CEO of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority. Southwest Airlines remarked, “We are thrilled to share the addition of these new flights that offer over 60 nonstop destinations to our passengers. Establishing additional international routes remains a longstanding goal, and we are eager to add these new vibrant cities to our roster.”

Weekend trips to Cabo from Nashville are hard to swing when it takes multiple connections to get there. With this news, I might start doing some same-day trips to Cabo. Let me know if anyone wants to join.

Wines in the Fork
Dates are now available for the Wines in the Fork Dinner Experience: Aug 30, Aug 31, Sep 27, Sep 28. The popular Farmstead Roots Creek Dinner's at Wines in the Fork are unique, local chef-inspired 5-course prix fixe menus, perfectly paired with wine produced by Farmstead Cellar and Crown Winery...all while sitting in the creek and under the lights in Leiper’s Fork. Live music, a cocktail hour, local artisan demonstrations and a bon fire in cooler months are all part of these one of a kind evenings.

Due to the family style nature of the meals, they can only guarantee accommodations for vegetarian requests. You will be given the opportunity to enter this and allergy information during check-out if this applies to you or your party. If you have specific dietary questions or mobility/creek access concerns, you can contact them at 615-614-3555 to discuss accommodations available prior to making a reservation. This is a 21+ up event. To buy tickets or learn more, check it out here.
