WestFest is going public: On May 18th, WestFest is back and itâs open to EVERYONE this year. Located on the driving range at Westhaven Golf Club, this party kicks off at 3:30pm and goes until 10pm. This yearâs bands include a Tribute to Dave Matthews Band, a Jimmy Buffett Tribute and Greenwood Rye, a Bluegrass Jam band. Along with music, there will be bars, several food trucks, and dessert options as well. You can get tickets here. Also, donât miss the new addition, KIDSFEST, which will take place Friday, May 17th from 5 - 8pm. This event will feature a kid-friendly DJ, several performances by kids in the neighborhood, local kid vendors, food trucks, and a bar for the parents. This event is complimentary for adults who purchase a ticket to the Saturday event.
Franklin-based Culaccino is opening a second location. Frank Pullara, executive chef and owner of Culaccino, and Southwest Value Partners, the developer of Nashville Yards, just announced an agreement to open a location at Nashville Yards in the Summer of 2025. The new restaurant will be located at the corner of Commerce and 9th Avenue North on the ground floor of The Emory residential tower. The approximately 6,700 square foot space will feature more than 20-foot ceilings and a large, covered patio that wraps the corner of the building. The northern portion of the patio will face the entrance to The Pinnacle, the developmentâs 4,500-capacity live music venue, making it the perfect place for dinner and a drink before a show.
The Franklin Rodeo returns for the 73rd year, May 16 - 18. There will be rodeo competition events, a rodeo clown, kids events, and specialty acts. Founded in 1949, the Franklin Rodeo brings in 20,000 people each year. Itâs one of the longest running family events in Middle Tennessee and one of the largest rodeos east of the Mississippi!
