Today is April 1st which means it’s April Fools’ Day. A day to be cautious about what you see, hear, or read.

Prank I’m doing on my co-workers? Telling them they’re on mute when they’re not.

Could I go bigger? You bet. But I don’t really feel like losing my job today.

🎥 Franklin on the Big Screen? Opening in theatres nationwide tomorrow is Someone Like You, a new movie based on the popular novel by #1 New York Times Best Selling Author, Karen Kingsbury (resident of Williamson County). Part of the movie was shot in Franklin and there were also scenes shot at the Nashville Zoo and Percy Priest Lake. The Red Carpet Premiere of the movie took place at The Franklin Theatre two weeks ago.

🏧 Bank Jugging is when a criminal follows a person from an ATM to their next destination and either robs them or breaks in to their car. The City of Franklin shared last week that there have been multiple cases in the last few months. To avoid being victimized, make sure (1) you’re aware of your surroundings (2) call 911 if you’re being followed (3) don’t leave valuables inside your car (4) lock your car and roll your windows up.

🍦 I scream, you scream… We all be screaming for ice cream. And would you look at that… they must have heard our screams. Handel's Homemade Ice Cream – named the #1 Ice Cream on the Planet by National Geographic – is opening its first location in Franklin this summer at Meridian Cool Springs. Founded in 1945, Handel’s offers 48 flavors daily and 140+ flavors that rotate seasonally. Handel’s will be the first tenant in the 990 Meridian Boulevard Project.
